It’s only Wednesday but your energy levels indicate that it must be something like late Friday afternoon? Well, who doesn’t know the feeling. Most jobs are extremely taxing and can take over your entire life before you know it. It’s a rat race out there so don’t forget to give yourself a break every once in a while to recharge your batteries. Easier said than done. I know. It is a skill to chill…and I am not an expert in this field. However, I am working on it and I have learned that regular breaks increase your productivity enormously. No earth-shattering news, of course. But have you really internalized the idea?

So what do you think?

Take a 10 minutes power-nap like the guy in the picture? If there are no benches in the sun and potentially judgmental colleagues around a quick walk around the block would do as well; or simply a few deep breaths of fresh air in front of the door. What counts is to consciously switch of the ever-turning carrousel of thoughts in your brain every once in a while and give it some time to calm down. The guy up there looks pretty relaxed, doesn’t he?
