I hope that he wasn’t in the process of picking his nose and eating it; being that he is a “man-child”.

There is something perfectly absurd about this image. Well done! It made me smile so wide 😀

Great image and the title is perfect!

Thanks – his sweater and behavior literally screamed for it 😉 A little boy in the body of an old man. There are quite a few of those around. However, they usually wear more adult-looking clothes.

Wonderful. It is great to see your photo in color. You decided that this image would work better in color? The shirt is great so is his hat. Overall, superb. I can visual the stories that surround this character. Keep them coming. Anything similar in Kenya?

This one actually looks better in color. It was a conscious decision;) You find a lot of interesting and very colorful characters around here – the challenge is to take pictures of them without having your camera stolen or worse;) Hence, taking pictures from shabby-looking taxis with tinted windows is the way to go.

        Is this New York?
Street photography is problematic. It is good to remain safe. I guess you could use the taxi driver as a collaborator. The drive could find the best places. But of course, you are already doing this.

      • November 23, 2013

This is NY, yes. Street Photography there is an easy thing to do. In Nbo, it is less so. However, it is possible. More to follow soon 🙂

Thanks for your comments. You made my day. 🙂 🙂
Now I am considering a new camera for none of them I have gives me sharp images. Your pictures are so sharp they could cut paper with them.

Hi Antonia – you are very welcome. As you can imagine, I really like these people shots. I am using a Canon EOS 7D – it’s a nice toy. However, bear in mind, that you will be able to get additional clarity (sharper images) through editing. I can highly recommend Adobe Camera Raw in combination with Photoshop – not that I know much other software.. but it works well for me. If you need a little introduction for this software, check out http://www.lynda.com for great online-courses. I was a total camera illiterate not too long ago, which you are clearly not.

So you are a beginner? Even more amazing. You have really found your style. Now, I like your photos even better.
Thanks for the tip. I photographed today in Raw, but my lightroom is out so I could not check the images. I have a newer on the job, and even Ps 6.
Nice camera you have. I have a Lumix G2 ( my favorite) and a canon 600 D. But hungry for a smaller one. Maybe the latest lumix or an olympus. Perhaps as a Christmas gift to:) myself. Then, I am not disappointed. 🙂
        Things are moving so quickly.

Oh yes, I am a beginner with little experience and even less tech knowledge when it comes to photography/cameras etc. But, hey, I am a happy autodidact (at least to a large extent) driven by gut-feeling and curiosity. It is nice to hear that you like my stuff. Have fun Christmas shopping: You deserve it:)

I never imagined that the gang from the Hundred Acre Wood were so interested in chess!

  7. November 22, 2013

Every day the most beautiful pictures!

  8. November 22, 2013

    Puzzling…

    • November 22, 2013

Does this mean you wouldn’t wear his sweater?

      • November 22, 2013

Who knows ? Better the sweater than naked… 😉
What puzzles me is the expression.

      • November 22, 2013

Oh, I can resolve the mystery. He was starring at a chess board.

      • November 22, 2013

Oh that’s what it is ! Now my day will be more serene… 😉

      • November 22, 2013

Good. I think he was enjoying himself. Not to worry;)

      • November 22, 2013

I tend to worry to much. That’s why I’m better lost in the deserted countryside ! 😉

      • November 22, 2013

Me, too. However, in my case, I am not sure whether the deserted countryside would neutralize this tendency of mine.

      • November 22, 2013

It doesn’t neutralize my tendency, it just decreases a bit the risks… Prevention is essential at some point ! 😉

      • November 22, 2013

Good that it works. Knowing what’s good for oneself is essential in life. You sound like an interesting person but, given the public forum, I will refrain from asking you curious canary questions about your life;)

        😉
