    I hope that wasn’t a real cigarette.

Oh, I forgot to mention… I am using a Canon 7D and Canon lenses. Hope you didn’t expect more tech talk from me… I am quite a disappointment on that front;)

This picture is startling. A clever choice to use colour too. I am photographer too, I was wondering what your working f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO is? I use a Canon 60D, with a 85mm Maitakon f2 lens (manual focus) for street stuff. I’d be interested in hearing what your set up is?

Your art is poignant, beautiful, and exceptionally well executed. You have the photographer’s eye, you see and capture moments of pure humanity. Seriously everytime I come to your blog I am blown away. It gets to the point where a long ‘fan-boy’ comment is the only way I can leave the page.

Hi there, Ink jester! Thanks a lot for your nice comment. To be honest, most of my set up is automatic as I like to free up my attention completely so I can better focus on the content. As you might have noticed, I am mostly doing street shots. I shoot impulsively… there is no time to think and fiddle around with my gear. I switch between a telefoto band a normal 60mm lens. I would say, about sixty percent of the photos I take are going to the trash right away. The remaining 40 percent I can work with. In any event, I am glad to hear that you like my photographs. Thanks again, I very much appreciate your comment.

Totally forgot, I am using a Canon 7D and Canon lenses.

That’s fair enough. Street photography needs needs that quick automation to capture those fleeting moments. Sounds good. The street life in my town is pretty dull. People rush in and out of the shops, and very rarely is anyone standing still or looking aesthetic haha.

I love the 7D. Keep up the great photography! 😛

Haha. I am quite certain that also the apparently dull includes nano-seconds of breath-taking expressions in the faces of small-town housewives hastily leaving the grocery store. Give it a shot! Have a great day and stay in touch!
