I like the image but here I go with my criticism. Crop it tightly into a vertical. My eye is draw too much to the much lighter background even though there is nothing there.

😉 Got your point. However, I really liked the background + contrasts. Oh well, taste is such a subjective thing, isn’t it? Nevertheless, I will play around with it and crop it as you recommended. Have a nice day! By the way, we have a blue sky and sun today. Icy beautiful.

I agree with you. I don’t think it needs any cropping, especially as street photography. I’m not distracted at all by the background.

I’m glad to hear that the weather has improved.
Yes, yes and yes on personal taste.
I was given a set of framing/cropping tools at a workshop I attended. They are nothing more than a mat for a print that is cut at the upper right and lower left corners to form 2, 90 angles. You can hold them up and move them in and out to see what the picture would look like cropped.

I love the tiny piece of the child’s face.

I can believe it. I used to look at the world from above as well 😉

Kinda, yes. I am the observer in the background, the canary against the yellow background… perfectly camouflaged 😉
